H.T.M.L stands for hyper, text, mark-up, language. Anyhow, I'll show you some HTML that I learned from my dad, (George Nielsen).
If you type a B with <> around it, it will make your text bold.
If you type a I with <> around it, it will make your text italic.
If you type a U with <> around it, it will make your text underlined.
And like up above with my first line of text, if you type h1 with <> around it, it will make that line of text bold and larger like a header.
I would show you how to insert an image, but my teacher says to only show that stuff from Lessons 1 - 6. But, here's a picture of some apples for you. (The code is a bit long though.)
To insert a picture first find a picture on google or somewhere else like this: http://dawn.cbcr3.com/nmc/24/24036/Images/blue-apple2.GIF
Then, write:
Copy and paste the link of your picture where it says YOURLINKHERE.
If there is a picture of a broken piece of paper, that means that either the picture has been deleted, you typed the link in wrong, or you are not connected to the internet.
Now, I'll show you how to make a picture a link.
Type in
Ok, first remove the _ and replace them with spaces.
Like this one:
P.S: Here is the link to my CSS page: Click Here!
If you did it correctly, there will be a picture on your website!
Then, copy and paste the URL you want to link to where the first YOURLINKHERE is.
Where it says YOURLINKHERE a second time, paste the image that you want to be able to click on.
If you did everything correctly, you'll have a clickable image!
